The most popular dishes include Soegogi Gukbap (boiled rice with beef) and modeumjeon (assorted pan-fried delicacies). Soegogi Gukbap is made by simmering beef shank bones and brisket in water for many hours for a rich hearty flavor. Plenty of radishes are added to enhance the taste. Modeumjeon includes pan-fried oysters, peppers, fish, pyogo mushrooms, and pumpkin. The oysters are especially delicious.
